Figure 15 illustrates a typical charger application using the MAX77751. Although there are connections between the MCU and the MAX77751, USB detection and battery charging occur automatically without MCU intervention. In the application, the MCU performs two functions: controls the D+/D- switch (MAX4906) and enables or disables battery charging. For the latter function, the MCU can be replaced by the circuit shown in Figure 13. ENBST can also be implemented in different ways and is typically expected to be a switch or button of the target device.
